Non-Dilutive Funding + SR&ED

📋 Recap

  • CONFIRMEDSR&ED FY2025 finalized — final refund confirmed at $112,339, above the ~$107K modelled figure, with the numbers confirmed by PwC.
  • Confirmed PrairiesCan RAII (interest-free repayable, $250K–$5M at up to 50% of costs) as the strongest non-SR&ED lever — open on continuous intake to Dec 31, 2028, with ~90-business-day decisions. Proof point: PrairiesCan’s May 19 announcement of $6.8M across five Alberta projects included Localintel at $500K repayable for a SaaS location-data content platform, a close analog to Homie AI’s document-ingestion engine.
  • Identified the Innovative Solutions Canada challenge on AI-assisted building permit compliance checking ($500K, closes Aug 4) — the only open Canadian program addressing construction digitalization, with Homie AI’s ingestion pipeline and 40+ builder relationships as directly relevant assets.
  • Confirmed Google for Startups Cloud AI-First tier (up to $350K in credits, rolling, no revenue or FTE gate) as the largest available line against inference and ingestion compute — Virtuo qualifies for the $350K AI-first tier rather than the standard $200K.
  • Delivered the “AI for All” brief mapping the federal AI strategy (including the $1B compute fund) to the Homie AI roadmap, and stood up an 11-program Airtable funding pipeline.

🔭 Outlook

  • Close out the FY2025 SR&ED filing under the enhanced 2026 rules and open FY2026 capture early, including newly-eligible capital expenditures.
  • Reach a go/no-go on the Innovative Solutions Canada building-permit compliance challenge ahead of the Aug 4 close.
  • Scope and submit the PrairiesCan RAII Expression of Interest — timing determines which calendar year’s single approval slot is used.
  • Confirm trailing-12-month revenue and FTE count with Canada/US split, which determines eligibility across BDC LIFT, CanExport and Alberta Digital Traction before any submission goes in.
