📋 July Recap

  • ApprovedMitacs Business Strategy Internship approved — $135K over two years. Resubmitted with revisions after the first pass; outcome letter received Jul 10 (ref. IT52336).
  • Ready to submitAAFC AgriScience EOI built and finalized — $1,575,000 ask against $3,150,000 in total project cost on a 50/50 for-profit cost-share, covering Oct 2026 – Mar 2028. Project is the AI-driven predictive-maintenance and parts-demand engine for ag fleets, moving TRL 4 → 7. Detailed budget built jointly with your team: $1,496,138 salaries, $1,343,861 computing, $302,100 contractors.
  • IRAP Claim 13 (June) completed and filed — the last claim with IRAP funds still available against the current project. Project deliberately left open following the late-June ITA conversation, so additional IRAP funding can be allocated later in 2026 without starting a new proposal.
  • Three new programs opened in the tracker: CAAIN Open Funding Call (up to $3M/project, Aug 7 intake), IRAP-subsidized SOC 2 consulting support, and BDC LIFT — Digital Transformation and AI (up to $1M).
  • PrairiesCan RAII held at $750,000. PrairiesCan advised in late June that this fiscal year's funding is allocated and to re-engage in August — the file is paused rather than closed, with the final draft already approved.
  • Two bi-weekly funding scans delivered (Jul 9 and Jul 23) plus four working touchbases. The Jul 23 scan re-verified every priority line as intact and flagged AAFC's Jul 9 commitment of up to $1.65M to an AI/remote-sensing agriculture project under AgriScience — a useful read on where the program is placing money.

🔭 August Outlook

  • PrairiesCan RAII — $750,000 proceed-or-withdraw call. The August re-engagement window is now open.
  • CAAIN Open Funding Call closes Aug 7 (next intake Oct 9). The gating requirement is cash contributions from two or more Canadian SMEs — that's the piece to resolve before committing.
  • TECHNATION Career Ready — $10,000 for the two fall interns; awaiting notice from the funder.
  • Open the IRAP renewal conversation. Claim 13 exhausted the available funds, and the project was left open specifically to support a top-up later this year.
  • Advance BDC LIFT and the IRAP SOC 2 support, both opened in July and now in drafting.
  • Confirm the CanExport SMEs position ahead of the Aug 31, 12:00 PM ET close — our read on new-market eligibility needs a final check before we spend drafting time.
  • Weekly touchbases continue Aug 5, 11, 18 and 25; funding scans Aug 6 and Aug 20.
